Is this area good for living with dogs?

Hi my husband and I are hoping to relocate from the uk to Melbourne and we would be coming with our 2 dogs. We are currently looking into different areas to live and I have seen that there are leash laws around the beach etc. My dogs are used to being mostly off their leads, are there any local areas where this would be possible?
