I will provide an updated comment. After covid, there is now a larger Indian community on the Central Coast. Some have opened many businesses, and the Australia Post in Wyoming is owned by an Indian family (very nice people btw).

Wyoming aka North Gosford has 2 Indian grocery stores. It is most likely the local indian community area on the central coast. It makes sense with the hospitals nearby and service stations and 7 eleven along with many Indian restaurants

It’s not a multicultural area. In fact you’ll deal with racism there. Sorry for the truth.

Hi M S do you live there? is it from personal experience you are saying? Can you please elaborate?

I've witnessed many locals complaining about Indians and Asians - everyone from the taxi drivers i've shared a cab with to the tradies I've hired. There's just many bogans in the area who lack the sophistication to understand multiculturalism.

Ok , thanks

There are good apples and bad apples everywhere. I am Indian and I live in the Central Coast. Our children go to local school, I must say; they are welcomed, loved and cared for. As soon as we drop our daughter at school, other kids( I mean Im not mentioning the race), they just come and cuddle her, and walk with her to her class. Even teachers are so cool. My children are very happy in that school. On the other hand, we do face unspoken racism. But, when you compare with the love we received here, its nothing. If they have a problem with my brown skin, I am sorry. But you see that happens very rarely. Otherwise, its a beautiful place to live.

Thanks . Totally agree with you. So far my experience of going there a few times have been quite good. I find the people very down to earth, friendly and welcoming. Infact better than the snobbish vibe I get in some other suburbs in Sydney. In the end , you attract what you reflect..... I have also seen many Indians to be always looking irritated, without a smile on their face, always looking unhappy, and probably because of that vibe a lot of folks tend to stay away.... Don't know though.... But my general perception about the coast has been very welcoming and friendly.....

Hi which is best suburb in central coast and also if you could mention public school pls. I am moving from India here. Kindly guide

Stay clear of North Gosford, Wyoming and some parts of Gosford. Other parts of Central Coast are good. When you look for houses to rent ( just look for public housing) , stay away from these. Every suburb has a public school. Central Coast kind of starts from Kariong to Wyong area( you can go further down too but its far from Sydney especially if you are working there which most people do). Good luck

North Gosford is an expensive area thanks to North Gosford Private Hospital. Parts of Gosford are okay.
