Some of my faves made the cut like Muji, Century 21, Uniqlo - did yours?

I love Muji but since my first taste of it was in Berlin, I don't necessarily think of it as uniquely NY. Definitely agree about Bergdorf Goodman, Housing Works, ABC Capet - all uniquely NY experiences. I'm rather annoyed with Prada because it's the kind of place I would go into once to see what the fuss is about as far as the store design, but wouldn't actually shop there.
There are a couple of places on the list I'm glad I now know about because I didn't before.
@Everyone just came across a brilliant ad campaign for the October Anthropologie line of clothes which captures this essence of the West Village so beautifully. Do have a look. Love their stuff but often find it a bit pricey.

I loooooove Anthro -- I wish I could shop there all the time. But, yeah, it is quite expensive.
@JenMac was just looking at their website wanted to shop for some new tops but with international shipping charges they are way over my meager budget -bummer:(
