We are moving to Melbourne what suburbs are best to rent in?

My partner and I are planning to move to Melbourne in the next month or so. He will be working in Greensborough while I will be working in Camberwell. Neither of us know Melbourne very well and we are unsure of which suburb would be best to rent in. I would love to have three bedrooms but would be fine with two, we are both from country areas so something not to noisy would be great, we will have two cars so it would need to have space to park them, would be great to be close to public transport for me and we don't want to spend more that $370 pw. Is this possible? Which suburb would you suggest?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Suzanne

Monique is right about Ringwood having lots going for it.... You may also want to consider Heidelberg, Rosanna and Watsonia. There should be 3 bedroom properties around the $370 mark -although you may need to look higher. These suburbs on are the Hurstbridge train line and not a bad commute for you to Camberwell. Closer to Camberwell and your budget will not stretch. Welcome to Melbourne :)

Ringwood is a great option! Only about 20 minutes to Camberwell! They've just redone the train station and shopping centre!
