I don't live in the area, so I don't have personal experience of the schools. But I do know some people who have been very happy with Corpus Christie and also Murdoch College (and they are a Uni Professor!) so I would think they did their research. There are quite a few schools in the Melville Council area, although some might be in other suburbs nearby. I did quite a lot of research on school recently, I did notice that they have a lot of schools (private and public) in the Top 100, in fact in the Top 50 rated schools for Perth/WA. All Saints College was ranked 10, for the 2011 year, and Rossmoyne SHS No 13 - people move suburbs just to get their kids into Rossmoyne! It is well known in Perth as one of the best government schools. Others that had good rankings included Leeming SHS (31), Santa Maria College (39), Corpus Christi (45), Somerville Baptist (64) and Murdoch College (79). Sorry, just realised there are no primary schools in that lot - but you might be able to find some more info on the Better Education site for WA. Even if the rankings are not perfect the schools in this area are obviously doing something right!
