Norwood is an expensive, inner city suburb so owner-occupier residents tend to have either lived there forever or be on high incomes. Norwood is becoming more popular with international student renters due to its vicinity to the CBD and cafe lifestyle.
The Parade is the economic hub of the area. There are a lot of cafes, restaurants and specialty shops along there. Finding a park on or near The Parade usually requires some patience, but if you lived in the area, you could walk. There is heavier than usual traffic in the side streets due to all the shops and the medical centre on The Parade. Magill Road and The Parade are Go Zones (a bus comes at least every 15 minutes between 7am and 7pm) to the city, and buses run slightly less frequently down Kensington Road.
The lifestyle in Norwood is a vibrant one, you won't find many hermits living there. There are a lot of lovely character houses as well. Having said that, the heavy traffic and difficulty finding on street parking would put me off living there. You would want to have ample off street parking for visitors.

Thanks for that! How often do you think the bus comes after 7pm?
