Is Oakden, SA safe for a professional mid aged woman?
If I may, I request feedback on a few questions I have regarding the suburb:
1. Is the area deemed 'safe' for a mid aged woman e.g. Exercise, burglaries etc.?
2. Should I be aware of anything in particular e.g. Extra risks, noisy neighbours/partying?
3. What are the benefits of living on Oakden, as opposed to Northgate, Lightsview and Collinswood?
4. Are there notable crimes/offenses that occur in the areas of;
a. Oakden SA
b. Northgate SA
c. Lightsview SA
d. Collinswood SA

Hi conniek1. In reply to your question, and although you living in Oakden for a few months, I would be more than happy to answer your questions so you become more familiar.
1. Oakden is an extremely safe neighbourhood, no crime or burglaries happen here and you'd probably never hear anything happening in the area on the news. In terms for exercising, you won't even feel the need to worry about your own safety. Oakden is so safe, you could even go for an exercise at 8:30-9pm at night on a hot summers night and not get worried!
2. You shouldn't be aware of any risks, really. And with neighours? They are all lovely, warm and friendly people that like keeping the area quiet. Although youth live here as well, they are self-disciplined and will respect their own neighbours by not pumping their loud stereos at 2:00am in the morning.
3. Northgate, Lightsview and Collinswood are all great places to live. They all boast amazing amenities, lovely neighbours and are very safe areas. However, apart from this, Oakden is probably the most cheapest place with the most expensive probably being Lightsview, as it is a brand new developing suburb, or Collinswood, where many large houses with some mansions taking the streets. In my opinion, I love Oakden because the streets are so pleasant and nice, very clean and green and well kept, very leafy and you get that sense you are in a well-established enclosed area, in a good way.
4. Obviously, crime happens everywhere you go, anywhere in the world. But there are many areas where crime doesn't even happen or little crime. Oakden, Northgate, Lightsview and Collinswood are extremely safe areas. Since their beginnings, no notable crimes/offences have ever happened in these areas nor has or does anyone whom is crime related, drug related, gang related, living in any of these areas.
