Hey SD, it really depends on what you're after. You've got some affordable builders who do good jobs (SJD Homes is one). Then you've got your well-known builders who charge a bit more because of their successful and well-reputed brand (Burbank, AVJennings etc). At the other end of the spectrum are your specilisied builders - they do AWESOME jobs with quality materials but obviously, it all comes at a cost (Cassilis Building is the name that springs to mind).
Hope this helps

Ok well I actually think you've got a lot of options to explore. If you want to give me some info I can try and find a bit more info for you:
- How much land would you like? There are affordable blocks between 400 - 800 sqm.
- What type of house do you want (in terms of size, bedrooms etc)?
- Lastly, how much are you looking at spending?

14m land would be good enough for us with 4 bedrooms but living & lounge or family room need to be separated and my husband really likes double storey homes. If the price within the $400k that would be really great..max we can go for 410k if it is double storey!

Hey SD, ok so you could get a 20 square two-storey house on a block in Officer near the train station for about $400,000.
Not bad for a first home buy haha.
My email is [email protected] if you want to email me and I can give you more detail.
