Reviews of Pasadena, SA

"Close to the Adelaide Hills yet so central and close to everything!"

Pasadena is an inner southern suburb located closer to the Adelaide Hills in metropolitan Adelaide, South Australia. It is nestled very nicely near the hills and hosts spectacular views of the rest of Adelaide. Situated only 20 minutes from the CBD, Goodwood Road is the main thoroughfare to get into the city the most quickest way from Pasadena - that's why it's so close! Although traffic can become frustrating during peak hours, there are some alternate routes to get into the city as well.

Pasadena is a very peaceful and safe neighbourhood, nothing happens around here. The neighbours are friendly and helpful and you can expect for them to say a friendly hello to you while at their front yard watering the plants, etc. The area is also very clean and green.

Shopping options that surround Pasadena is a paradise, as you have the newly redeveloped Pasadena Green Shopping Centre (Fiveash Drive, Pasadena), which has a Target, the second-best Foodland in South Australia, Ned's and other small cute shops. The centre is quite small, but is absolutely amazing for the daily shopping needs. Takes about only minutes to get there but around 5-10 minutes to walk there! How convenient! If you want to head out for those big days at the shops, Westfield Marion is one of the biggest and most popular shopping centres in Adelaide, and is only located 10 minutes from Pasadena. Other small shopping centres and districts are also located within a stones throw from the area.

There are many parks and playgrounds spread out across Pasadena, making easy access to enjoy a few hours at the park also convenient. Schools serve Pasadena very well, with the excellent Pasadena High School (previously known as Daws Road High School) only a 15 minute walk, resulting in your teenager's schooling experience to be easy, excellent and highly unfrustrating with transport. There are also other great schools that are in close proximity to Pasadena, such as Clapham Primary School, Edwardstown Primary School, Unley High School or St Spyridon's School. These schools have a well-known repuation of helpful and caring teachers and where your child can grow and make many friends.

Internet access in Pasadena is excellent, with the NBN live in the area since April 2016. The streets in the area are leafy and wide and this results in great parking spots. Pasadena is located close to the beach, only taking 20 minutes to Glenelg. A great nightlife could be heading out to the beaches or CBD, and the quality of this is the metropolitan beaches and CBD take 20 minutes from Pasadena!

The cost of living ranges from average (but not cheap) to expensive, with some houses costing $1M. However, the median cost for housing in Pasadena ranges under $1M majority of the time. Houses are also kept very nicely clean and well-kept, I should mention, and so do the streets.

In conclusion, Pasadena is an excellent place for anyone and everyone, with the neighbours being very friendly and caring, safe enough that you could feel comfortable and not worry about taking a summers evening stroll after 9pm, located close to all its amenities and very peaceful! Pasadena is truly a suburban paradise for people who want everything close by and schools that are excellent. I hope I have given you a helpful insight to what might be your possible next future suburb - Perfect Pasadena!

Looking for a home in Pasadena?

"A Quite Sleeper"

Pasadena is an inner southeastern suburb bordering Panorama, Eden Hills and St Mary's. On the eastern foothills is where you will find lovely homes and glorious views of the city and the sea. The quiet suburb is a bit of a unknown gem. It is close to the city (within10kms), hyde park/unley, Mitcham shopping, Westfield Marion, Flinders University, excellent private schools and about a 15 minute drive to Brighton Beach and Glenelg. Its great location suits those who like the foothills and closeness of the city, and those who like to be in favorable distance to the beach.
With the benefits listed and close proximity of great amenities (pasadena shopping centre is about to commence major upgrade), Pasadena is very well priced considering the higher price in close suburbs of Mitcham, Colonel Light Gardens and Torrens Park. There is upside potential in pasadena and i believe in time this will attract more investors/buyers.
Pasadena is great for growing families, and for those who like the convienience of city and beach life.
