Port Melbourne or Docklands?

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice on whether or not to move to Port Melbourne or to move to Docklands. I've both good and bad about both areas, but most people lean to Port Melbourne. Can someone give me some advice? I do want the apartment lifestyle...and the beach is a draw card.

How often would you say you use the beach? And is it a good reason to move to Port Melbourne over Docklands?

thanks, michelle

Hey micheller,

Port Melbourne for sure!! I havent lived there, but I do plan on doing so very very soon. I looked into Docklands as well, and from everyone I asked, people do think it is pretty dead.

Wind is in both places, so you're out luck there.

My theory is waking up and seeing the water every day would make me in a better mood each day :)

In summer, I know for a fact you would use the beach a lot. I use it heaps in summer, and that's just from having a friend live there.

Hope that helps!

AJ

Docklands is ok, but it's not Port Melbourne. I've been in Port Melbourne for a long time, and while I don't use the beach as often as I did when I first moved in, the days you do go down and relax in Summer makes it completely worthwhile.

You really wont regret moving to Port Melbourne at all.
