Extremely unsafe as a female. I am a prisoner in my home as I can"t leave my house unless it's by car. I have to drive to Prospect to walk my dog because I've had too many bad experiences and fear for my safety. There are so many drug addicts around I feel like this is the substance abuse suburb of Adelaide. It's not pleasant when a crack head starts screaming unintelligable things at you and following you agressively. I regularly see vomit and blood on the footpaths ... Revolting, vile and an absolute punishment to live here. Bulldose the whole suburb and start again it needs a huge clean up.

Personally, Renown Park has felt like the most unsafe neighbourhood I’ve lived in, but it depends exactly where in Renown Park you live. Some areas are primarily government housing and you can literally see needles on the footpath. We get quarterly Crime Stoppers newsletters delivered for the area and they’re always filled with small thefts (generally people taking things from sheds or backyards). I’ve come home twice in the last year to see part of my street blocked off by police to resolve “disputes”.

It’s a relatively cheap suburb for how close it is to the city, but that’s for a reason. If safety is a key concern, I really can’t recommend Renown Park at the moment (2019).
