How is Thackeray Rd and Delaware St to live in? Are these streets considered Oakhill estate also?

bimbimbie,
Both Thackeray and Delaware carry quite a bit of traffic in peak hours because they are used as short cuts between High St and Plenty Rd. But both are nice streets with houses being renovated etc. Prices have been rising steadily, with sales in excess of $700,000 for renovated houses (a two bedroom renovated Californian in Thackeray sold for $710,000 earlier this month). Strictly speaking the northern edge of Oakhill Estate is Northernhay/Rubicon streets. The area between there and Broadway are described as "fringe Oakhill", although estate agents increasingly describe it as part of Oakhill. The price difference between Oakhill proper and 'fringe" Oakhill is about $30,000-$40,000. Many locals believe the entire area between Tyler St and Broadway should be officially renamed Oakhill, like Regent on the other side of High St.
Hope this helps.

Gazza really good answer, and I agree with your argument ... The term Oakhill fringe is a load of nonsense in my opinion but what ever you call anything, Regent, Oakhill ETC, it's still RESERVOIR 3073, As for the two streets my opinion is that they are both very decent streets, I used to live on Bedford Street Reservoir, generally good neighbourhood and very convenient location.
