Things to do on the Mornington Peninsula?

I am going to be on the Mornington Peninsula from this weekend and looking at the weather it's not going to be too hot.

Here's my initial list of best things any visitor must do.

1. Visit Sorrento - this is the most beautiful seaside town that best sums up what the Peninsula is all about.
2. Portsea Pub - must try once, eat outside in the beer garden, the views are what people pay millions to enjoy.
3. Picnic lunch on Rye foreshore - get some fish and chips across the road and then sit on the beach, great beach for kids.
4. Rye Carnival in Summer - always fun for the kids
5. Enchanted Maze at Arthurs Seat - kids and adults will love it, get some lollies and hot chocolate at the end.
6. Cape Schanck - visit the famous Cape Schanck Board Walk and Lighthouse
7. Point Nepean National park - the furthest most point you can drive to in Victoria, great views over to Queenscliffe.
8. Peninsula Hot Springs - has become one of the most popular things to so over the last 10 years.
9. Golf at Portsea Golf Club or Eagle Ridge, great views
10. Cliff top Drive from Safety Beach through Mount Martha up to Mornington.

Has anybody got any other ideas what to do on the Mornington Pensinsula?

Further down the coast in Portsea you can always have a good lunch at the Portsea Pub. It's great in summer, just as the sun goes down. Sorrento Pub is also really nice for dinner.

In Rye there's mini golf along the main the strip that has great slot car racing.

It's really hard to look past the beach! Cricket on the sand is always fun with the kids, and so it building sand castles.

Make sure you visit Arthur's Seat. They have just renovate the chair lifts and cafe. It has fantastic view son the whole peninsula and is breathtaking. There are also walking tracks on the side of the mountain and it is very nice to sit for a picnic in the botanical gardens. You will not be disappointed.
