Housing commission exists in many suburbs including those which have had strong capital growth; port melbourne, richmond, fitzroy, south melbourne, albert park. You see it in most suburbs except the new land estates. I do not think it has a negative effect on the price of properties generally speaking. On a more positive note; observe the infrastructure and millions of dollars being pumped into sunshine as we speak: new train station, car parks, office buildings, large council office building behind sunshine library, Hampshire road improvements, large enterprises investing in sunshine means excellent potential for capital growth at long bloody last. The warning bells have been rung. Sunshine will finally get the recognition it deserves.

hi sally, what streets are the commissioned houses predominately located on?

Hi BallyW, in response to your question; I am certain there aren't any high-rise housing commission in sunshine. Have lived here for over 20 years. Unlike flemington, carlton, williamstown, richmond. There isn't even a pocket of housing commission I am aware of. You could ask the Brimbank Council possibly.
