With the Extortionate prices that a reasonable lifestyle comes at, well Werribee is pretty good value for money. I lived in Hoppers for decades and went to Werribee (inc the boat ramp) many many times.
I am now interstate, but I have some relatives there, one of which was burgalled twice in 1 year in Tyrone Street.. It only takes a few of these events to go off a place, and it looks like the scumbags have moved into the area. it happens everywhere, I suppose, but as the houses are pretty inexpensive, you get investors buying there and with those "low rent" homes, come a few horrible criminals. They would not go to Toorak, or Kew, because the rent is very high.. So they end up stealing from ordinary working strugglers like most Western Suburb people. So due to Werribee's attractuions, there also some real "dogs' living in your neighbourhood.
But at least You/Us Melbournites use indicators and have a basic idea how to drive... :-)
