"If you like to swim this is a great street in the rain!"

Almost every house in the street ends up with big puddles in their yards and turns to mud, only need 15mins rain and what a mess. Houses should never have been built in this flood prone area.
Neighbours leave alot to be desired also, majority of street is rentals properties and contain several inconsiderate people amongst them. Police frequent this street often for problems.

Great for

  • Big houses

Not great for

  • Bad neighbours
  • Very flood prone
  • Thoroughfare from main road

"Busy Busy!!"

This is a very long road although no matter which end you live at you will still have the same traffic to deal with. The road is a thoroughfare from Petire to Albany Creek so is well used by trucks and trades people alike. One end of the road has larger properties that are fully fenced but closer to the main intersection. There is a small shopping centre nearby along with local shops. McDonalds and schools are within 5 mins. I lived on this road for 12 mths about 11 years ago and since then the traffic has more than doubled. The houses are nice and well maintained, majority of the neighbours are great, friendly and caring. But the traffic and safety of small children certainly is a major concern.

"Nice Atomosphere although all small blocks.."

This street has a friendly appearance and majority of the neighbourhood are friendly. There is a Police Beat situated just around the corner, and schools and shops are easily accessable. The train line is not far and there are buses running locally to get you to the shops or train if necessary. The area is quiet, although the houses are quite close together they still have a small decent yard. There are several small parks around and you may even get the chance to occassionally view a Koala or possum in trees. The area has minimal break-ins but like evreywhere else is not beyond the occasional crime.

"Watch Out! This Street is decieving!"

This street looks lovely the houses are nicely presented and look after but the traffic, or should I say some of the drivers that lose control of there cars along here is insane. Don't get a property near the corners or speed humps, and make sure is fully fenced.

"What a Wonderful Street, So neighbourly!!"

Pretty much everyone in this street will say Hi when you walk past there house. It is a small community type street. In the middle of the street is a great big park for the kids to enjoy, only 2 minutes walk from your door. Every Christmas the street gets together and set a standard by putting on a great Christmas lights display. Majority of the properties are well maintained making the neighbourhood look friendly and presentable to all passes by. You are close to local shops, shopping centres, public transport and schools, without having the annoying noises caused by the busy hustle of traffic. I lived here for 12mths and we would have happily stayed alot longer had we have been able. You feel safe and comfortable in this lovely street..

"You can Scratch your neigbours back!"

This area used to be nice, but is now way over crowded. Most of the neighbours are very friendly. Although, I lived in this street when there were only three houses in it, and look at it now, you can hear your neighbours tv over your own.. The area is still fairly quiet, but definatley over crowded with houses.. and for their size most are well over priced. The houses are mostly small box type brick houses thrown together cheaply by the builder, in a hurry and they popped up very quick. Many of these properties are rentals so expect your neighbours to change frequently. You are close to shops, schools and public transport. So these are a big bonus, being that it is still a fairly quiet area.

"Country Style Living at it's Best!"

This area is beautiful, quiet and very peaceful. If you like the sounds of nature and don't like the hustle of evryday city life than this is the place for you. You have the convience of local stores for your your everyday uses, and are not too far to drive if you are in need of anything from the bigger department stores. You get to enjoy the country life style with old fashioned friendly neighbours. Being a small suburb you will probably get to meet most of the towns people, and feel right at home. Housing is affordabl and has good resale value. Public transport to local suburbs is available but is somewhat harder to get into Brisbane city from here.

"Want to Live the High Life!!"

Beautiful, streets, houses, parks, and neighbours. This is a lovely area most properties back onto the man made marina allowing boat access to each property. This is a more expensive area to live in but with the consideration to all it's benefits and the size and value of the properties, it is well worth it. Great resale value for sellers, as these properties are often under demand and generally sell fairly quick. The area is quiet yet still handy to everything that you could need.

"Hardly ever home? This is a place for You!"

If you are hardly ever home, and Kippa Ring is close to your work than that would be the only thing that would draw me to this suburb. Kippa Ring is the suburb everyone cuts through to get to Redcliffe, Scarborough and the City. There is no rail line so you must rely soley on buses and taxis for public transport. Although it is close to beach if you like to spend time relaxing on the sand with the not so favouable smelly seawater splashing at your feet. Or the man made lagoon, which the Council often neglects to maintain properly. There are certainly nicers areas to live in than Kippa Ring. It would not even come into my top 10.

then why would you review it?

nataliem29

there is now an excellent rail line. I love my commute to the City. Free parking at the train station. Plenty of spaces and $6.25 each way.

"Pleasant Street, but very busy!!"

This street is pleasing to the eye, and close to everything. The biggest drawback it has is the traffic. 24 hours a day you have throughfare traffic staright past your front door. although the speed limit is 60 km through very few people seem to obey this. Many a hoon will do their stupid burnouts just outside your house in the middle of the night. Unless the property is safetly surrounded by a high secure fence I would not recommend it at all suitable for anyone with pets or small children.

Did you live there? It says that you visited, and why would anyone in their right mind move into a house on a main road like Graham road? I have lived in Morayfield for going on seven years and our street is a main street within an estate with a speed of 50km per hour, no-one does the speed at all, even the residents in surrounding streets, we also have a school close by and we've gotten used to the traffic in the morning and afternoon and we are two houses back from the corner and we have always had hoons, you get them in every suburb everywhere not just here, unless you go to the country you can't get away from it i'm afraid. That's life.....

Elodia

terminator31 no not every area is over run with selfish hoons, but morayfield appears to be that place that is, sorry mate.

Hey Arien, I also live on Graham Road, if you write to Mark Ryan MP and point out the issue, they will allocate speed traps to your area. really helped us. also having a wooden fence and hedges absorbs most of the noise.

"Maybe for a cheap investment property??"

I lived here for 6 mths and could not get away quick enough, some of the neighbours are great, others the exact opposite and not so favourable. Don't ever leave your car unlocked, or on the street at night if you can help it. The park at the end of the street attracts many unfavourable people at night and as you can imagine they get up to all sorts of mischeif. This houses, are generally fairly small and many are housing commission or ex-housing. Would be suitable for people who aren't home all that often and in my opinion would be more suitable for short term living rather than retirement.

"Perfect Spot to Call Home!"

I fyou are looking for a nice street in Kallangur, than be sure to check out this street. It was of the older streets in the neighbourhood, and you can see this by taking a lesuirely drive past.to see well maintain mostly wood, and brick houses. All well maintained, several residents have lived in this street for more than 30 years bringing up their families and they are still happy living there. I grew up in this street myself for over 25 yrs and would have loved to have been there longer..

"School Road for a reason the School!"

This has become a very busy road with Kallangur State school in the middle and the main road crosses through it. eg. Anzac Avenue. Many of the houses in the street are older style ex-housing commission properties, although most have been well maintained and are now privately owned. This is one of the oldest streets in the area. Majority of the neighbours are friendly and helpful although if traffic noises bother you don't even think about it.. lots of cars use this as a detour from the main thorough fare.

"Perfect Place to Live"

With all the development going around us this street remains untouched, and is a rare find nowadays. It is close to public transport, shops, medical centres, parks, schools the lot. Yet it still remains reasonably quiet and peaceful, and most of the neighbours are very friendly which is often hard to find, many just kept to themselves. Definately worth a look if you are thinking about coming into this area to live... I highly recommend this street to be a great place to call home.

Morris Rd

"Noisy - That's Not the Word for it!!"

Very busy road not at all suitable if you have small children or pets.. There are many a vehicle accident along this road as it is almost constantly busy, people use it as a bypass road to avoid Anzac Ave. Most of the neighbours are friendly although being that the area is full of Department of Housing properties you do have the occasional trouble maker around.. You will often find broken beer bottles and rubbish tossed into your yard, and hear hooligans walking down the street late at night. We even had our car stolen from in front of our own house. Not an area I would recommend by my own personal experiences there.
But on the other hand the other end of Morris Road is a totally different story all together. You need to see it to believe it.

PS. I lived here for just over three years... ;-p

Dakabin

"A Quiet Suburb suitable for All.."

If you want a decent size property without going to far from shops etc.. take a look at Dakabin just like everywhere else it is growing rapidly but is still holding some beautiful sort after properties.
You are within driving distance of everything you could need and public transport is just around the corner also. But the area is unpolluted with corporate business so remains a nice suburban place to live.

Kallangur

"Has become very over-crowded!! VERY quickly...!!"

I grew up in Kallangur and spent the first 30 years of my life there, it used to be a beautiful place to call home almost perfect, but as time has past and money hungry developers have gotten into the picture it is now an over-crowded, noisy, bypass to Mango Hill / North Lakes which they have also distroyed.. Many of the properties in the original part of Kallangur are ex-Housing Commission properties. I miss the old Kallangur would never live there again now.. am glad I still have some photo's of our beautiful it used to be before they ruined it. Many wildlife lost their homes while the developers cleared the land and slapped up other buildings.

"Great for Young Families.."

It is a reasonably quiet area, with approximately 1 in 3 properties being an investment property eg. rental. You do get your occasional hoon but not too often, break-ins and crime in this street are generally minimal. Most of the neighbours are friendly, not a good area for the over 50's as you do get a fair bit of childrens noise which often irrates them.

Break-ins minimal!? I'm sorry but we've been the targets of graffiti and several thefts in the past three years - my father is also a Police Officer who works between Redcliffe and Caboolture and break and enters/car theft are the main crimes in Morayfield, with several call outs a night.

Rod

Wow, you've lived in a lot of places... I've been to several of them, never lived there, but your ratings are bizarre. I think your a big phony.

Pattieone

Rod, I tend to agree with you. With someone living just 6 months at a time in many of these streets, I'm wondering what's wrong with Arien?

ReswobR

It might be the agencies. We are good tenants that always pay our rent but we have moved three times in 2015 and have to move again. It seems paying the rent isn't enough. Owners and property managers are obsessed with trivial matters like weeds in the garden.
