Mawson Lakes

"Mawson Lakes"

I bought then sold in Mawson Lakes a couple of years ago. I guess I was seduced by the marketing machine that surrounds the place. I think the problem with a lot of these newer master planned places is they're built for profit. That in itself is not a bad thing but I ended up leaving because the blocks tend to be small with a lot of courtyard homes. That doesn't allow for much in the way of garden which in turn gives the impression of being surrounded by built form and makes the place feel hot and oppressive. No front gardens generally doesn't help and makes the streetscape a little dull and austere. The lack of established street trees also adds to the feeling. The fact that all the homes are built within 10 or so years of one another means they are usually similar in style and appearance, which isn't always a bad thing but often is.

Your ratings. - Clean and Green you gave a poor rating are you sure you lived in the suburb cause the last time I looked out my window it stays green all year round because of the recycled water in the area. And as for your poor rating on Doctor's, shops, heaps of parks and public transport your telling porky pies with that too. Not sure you really lived in the suburb Celice.

How about you respond with some facts and list out what they have missed. As it stands, you only have one medical centre. There is only one Woolies. Not much choice, this is a fact. For 15000 people this is not cool. A lot has been over looked. There is a high rental level, there are high levels of student accommodation. The town houses and houses are built quickly which is an indicator of low quality, made for profit.....

North do you like, own land in Mawson Lakes that you are trying to sell or something? Or are you trying to justify your decision to buy/live in Mawson Lakes, South Australia's Technology Hub, with worse than Country town internet?

There seems to be a lot of blind fanboyism evident in your comments, especially the attacks on people who have posted their opinions, you generally do not see this level of fanboyism in anything except for video game forums.

I am looking for a house in Mawson Lakes.
The reason why I am telling people to change their comments is because, Mawson Lakes is truly a marvelous place to live. This is why, because I've had several friends who still live in the suburb, and they say there is nothing better than Mawson Lakes.

In conclusion, I just want to say to everyone that I am sorry for saying things that people generally have their opinion on, and I want them to change their text. Well now, I do not want them to change their text to a better comment. Sorry. :(
P.S. If you are saying that the internet at Mawson Lakes is worse than country towns, all you need to do is get a Internet set top box, then you will change your mind saying it runs really fast.
