Very wide street that used to have a primary school on one side, which was recently developed into new houses. This street is within 1 minute walking distance to 2 59 Tram stops. 10 minute walk to Essendon Train Station.

Recently moved into Essendon from Moonee Ponds. The major change from the 2 close proximity suburbs is that the general character of the Essendon houses is more late Victorian. I am also pleasantly surprised by the street widths and lot sizes for this inner city suburb.
Highlights of this area is it's close proximity to multiple public transport options for young professionals working in the city, great schooling options for families, great shopping options being short drive to Moonee Ponds, Keilor Rd, Brunswick, Flemington and Footscray. Luckily the prices aren't too inflated yet as compared to the more asian dominated suburbs such as Box Hill, Glen Waverly and North Balwyn.
Overall I would say this is one of the best inner Melbourne suburbs to raise a family in.
