Auburn

"Great potential and currently still affordable despite proximity to the city"

Am planning to move to Auburn.Have had mixed reactions from people when I tell them about it.Some love it and many think its not a good idea usually based on what they have heard in the past.I have been visiting the area over the past few months to get a sense of it.It is extremely well connected in terms of transport.Just under a half an hour from the Townhall and contrary to what people appear to believe, it doesnt feel unsafe.Shops are plentiful and property is still affordable here mainly because its still some way off from gentrification which is inevitable. This is Sydney after all. That said, always check out strata management issues before buying apartments. Its possible to find a really good apartment in some of the blocks there if you exercise due diligence.

  • Overall shabbiness
  • Badly needs an influx of stylish and trendy people

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Singles
  • Families with kids

  • Hipsters
  • Students
