As someone who moved from Yarraville (and who has lived there from the moment i was born), i was quite hesitant in investing in Sunshine due to the suburbs reputation, but ended buying an investment property on Monash Street 5 years ago (and which now has doubled in value) and was overall so happy (close to all major freeways, 15 kms to the city, major shopping centers and cinemas) that i ended up buying my current residential property in Sunshine West.
Neighbors are great, street is quiet and local transport is excellent, broadband internet connection is great, overall i would recommend investing in Sunshine hands down, you wont regret it
