Parkdale

"Nice suburb"

Parkdale is a nice suburb but there are nice ones at the beach further out.

How do you rate a suburb one star with the only comment as 'there are nice ones at the beach further out'. A rating is based on the positives of a suburb, the infrastructure, the amenities, the people, the schools, parks, access to city, shops, hospitals, facilities, also house prices, liveability etc. This is a useless comment and you obviously have not or did not live in the suburb long enough to get a grasp on it's true value. Hopefully you have moved on.

Essendon

"boring"

Not happy in Essendon as I do not like the neighbours and don't feel safe.

I doubt you have ever set foot in Essendon. It's one of the most central, vibrant and safe suburbs of Melbourne.

Agree with MaxxL, Essendon is refined and certainly safe. The community bond is second to none.

Unsafe? Obviously this is a troll. Essendon has always been safe, and continues to be so.

michelleb43

Ridiculous to call Essendon boring . . . obviously never stepped foot there.

Never bored here, having been tried different cafe and restaurant from different culture cuisine since moved in 4years ago, still lot to go. So much choices and feel safe to walk at night time after finishing eating out and shopping. Love here. Nightlife is so interesting here and quiet inside.

Essendon comes across as a beautiful place to live in Melbourne, birthplace of the fabulous Judith Durham.

Edithvale

"Edithvale - much better than Parkdale"

We lived in Parkdale before moving to Edithvale and have to say that we prefer Edithvale and are so much happier here in Edithvale. The community is much nicer, the beach is more beautiful, there are more parks and leafy streets, the houses are much better and the neighbourhood is wealthy and very stable and safe.
