Ipswich

"Wouldn't live here again"

I lived in Ipswich for 5 years, then moved to Townsville. I love it up here in Townsville, Ipswich doesn't have nice beaches sadly, and my neighbour in Ipswich was the devil incarnated? yikes. But I am enjoying it up here in Townsville, the people are friendly, got a job working for a tech company within a week so lifes pretty sweet now. I still get chills thinking about Ipswich, might be some type of PTSD LOL.

May I ask which area and street you used to live in Ipswich?

North Ward

"Great place for everyone"

I love North Ward, the home of the city's prime tourist attraction.. the strand! plus the waterpark, rockpool and the beautiful trendy cafe's and restaurants. You will feel at home in this growing suburb from day one. It will also be in easy walking/commute distance to the new stadium under construction in the CBD.

Cabramatta

"Townsville is better!"

I have friends that have relocated from Cabramatta in Sydney to Townsville, Qld and they are loving it here. Townsville is welcoming to people of all cultures, the climate is better, the city is more naturally beautiful. Make the move to Townsville, Qld soon!

I hated Cabramatta, feral place. Townsville has so much natural beauty going for it, the day trips to Magnetic Island, the bushwalking in the forests nearby. What has Cabramatta got? yeh um nothing.

Brisbane (CBD)

"Townsville is better!"

I didn't like the Brisbane CBD at all, not very friendly nor naturally beautiful. I then went to Townsville and knew straight away what I had been missing. Townsville has so much natural beauty, the people are friendly and the city inviting. Everyone who is considering Brisbane should try Townsville first. The city is booming and you will love it here.

Townsville City

"Great place to live and play."

I love Townsville City, it is close to everything and is the business hub of the city. So many places to explore and will be very close to the new North Queensland Stadium when completed in 2020, new projects are in the pipeline and underway so there is no shortage of jobs and the beautiful strand is located a short walking distance away. Yes there are some closed shops in the CBD but most CBD's in Australia have the same but I can happily report the tide has turned and they are starting to be rented out again and the CBD is more bustling everyday.

Proserpine

"A great place to live :)"

I love living in Proserpine, the way people greet you everyday with a smile, the people on the street who love to chat, the Proserpine Hospital is one of the best regional Hospitals I have been to in Queensland - it is modern, the staff are wonderful, the care is top notch and the surroundings heaven, the town has a variety of educational institutions from prep all the way to Year 12 either at Proserpine State High with Alumni such as Andrew Fraser (former state Treasuer) & Travis Waddell (professional Rugby League Footballer) to name two.. or Saint Catherine's Catholic school with a state-of-the-art secondary campus opening in 2015. Proserpine is just an all round great authentic town with a bright future.. so why not be a part of it yourself??

Great for

  • Modern Hospital and Schools
  • Beautiful caring residents
  • Lots of flat land for development
  • Clean and Friendly
  • Close to mining areas
  • Diverse range of facilities
  • Very close to Australia's newest International Gateway
