Family friendly area. Lots of parks, playgrounds, sporting facilities and open space. Good choice of public and private schools. Great local shopping options from small local shops through to majors at Castle Hill and Rouse Hill. Great network of bike paths that make it safe to go for walks or rides with the family. Quite area that is a haven from the hustle and bustle of Sydney, yet only 32KM to the city centre. We find the local restaurants to be of a good standard with eat street areas at Castle Hill, Rouse Hill and Bella Vista. Local work opportunities with Norwest business Park and Macquarie Park. Bus transport to the City and surrounding areas is good, but the area would greatly benefit from a train line. Some people put the area down on the basis of over sized houses on top of each other. We came from the inner west of Sydney previously and can say that the houses there were tiny and much much more on top of one another. Here in Kellyville, we have a large family sized home, an inground pool and large grass area in the yard for the kids to play. Our house is in a nice tree lined street with a park and fantastic kids playground close by. We have much more space around us here then we ever had in the inner city.
