Castle Hill

"Overall Castle Hill is a great place to live"

1. Good size house for a young and established family;
2. Close to Norwest Business Park and Macquarie Park for jobs;
3. Great kids activities programs and a huge shopping centre. Castle Tower is going to be expanded to be the largest shopping centre in NSW.
4. Bus commute to City can be long during peak hours but off peak hours it only takes 30 mins;
5. Sydney Metro is expected to be completed in the early of 2019, which will change the life of residents in Castle Hill. When the second stage of Sydney Metro is completed, it will be appropriate 35mins by subway to City with every 4 mins per train during peak hours.
6. Castle Hill is a safe suburb but it could be pricy as avaerge income per household in Castle Hill is well above Sydney's average household income. Majority of residents in Castle Hill are professionals or small business owners/retirees.
7. Capital growth in Castle Hill is great in the past 4 years. On average, property value has jumped more than double in the past 7 years, thanks to Sydney Metro.
8. Public and private schools are not outstanding in Castle Hill (rank between 75-180). I would travel a bit to Inner West for MLC or Newington. Once the subway is built, these schools will be 45 mins away by train.
9. People are very nice in Castle Hill and the area is so green and peaceful. Great place to relax with family and recharge over weekends. At this stage, Castle Hill is more suitable for family and maybe too relaxing or boring for young couples who love to chill out and party at all times.

Great for

Not great for

  • The capital growth of Castle Hill property will be significant once the North West Rail Link is established.
  • Worried because it's getting too popular

Who lives here?
