"Perfect Location"
10 mins drive to the city, lots of gardens and dog parks around. No need to mention shops and restaurants. It is good to rent but unsure if it is good time to invest since the 400 sqm houses starts from 900k AUD.
"Crime Centre"
Although there are nice areas in Sunshine, overall it is unsafe neighbourhood.
Location is convince but the price you pay to live here is absolutely not worth it. Council must do something about the safety concern in conjunction with government.
Wow, we have been in Sunshine since 2007 & love it. When we were in Ascot Vale our car was stolen, our yard was broken into (dog chased intruder out) & there were several murders in the area (no we were not in the public housing area either). None of that in our Sunshine & we know our neighbors, local kids & dogs. Great community.
100% agree. Sunshine is full of creeps and stalkers.
The main street from the railway station with the old restaurants and shops would be one of the worst in Melbourne not the actual suburb that surrounds it. There is a new main shopping centre called Home Co and precinct emerging on Ballarat road near the Duke street intersection and around there.
"Great Suburb in the West"
Hoppers Crossing has a lot of advantages. First of all, there are many reputable schools, big hospitals and shopping options such as Werribee Pasific. A lot of people worries about the traffic , however, wherever you travel in Melbourne, it will be the same issue, east or west are the same. The council invests a lot on playgrounds, gardens, community centers and so on. Neighbourhood is usually the combination young and middle aged people. I always feel safe around. It takes about 30- 35 mins to get to the city with normal traffic and 50 mins during peak hours
I think hoppers will be one of the most attractive suburbs in the West in the very near future.
Who lives here?
- Families with kids
Thats a very false statement... I have lived in the north west my whole life.. and from werribbee hoppers to wydnamvale some of the worst traffic you will see... they have upgraded finally dohertys rd now child's road so its getting there but will be worse in time as development conts
Where abouts in Sunshine do you live?
