Melton South

"Beautiful"

We were looking at a place that was quiet and away from everything. We found Eynesbury to be a wonderful place to live. Very clean and tidy. There are some drawbacks. You need to drive into Melton to shop. There is a fee of $1020 (roughly) per year for the life of the home to maintain parks and gardens. What I loved about this area is that you aren't allowed to have any cats!! Overall an awesome place to live and ideal for retirees. Just too far out for what we were looking for.

Hoppers Crossing

"Moved in and back out"

Hoppers Crossing is one of those suburbs you either absolutely love or hate. I am one of those who hate it. We moved into Hoppers Crossing and one of the homes we went into had a gun on the kitchen table and when we asked the lady about it she replied "for protection". That's not the reason I don't like Hoppers. I just feel there are far too many hoons around and our neighbours were horrible. We moved into three homes in Hoppers all three were in different places in hoppers and 3/3 were bad. Yes I will admit that Hoppers is good for the fact that it has everything there. I am the kind of person who likes peaceful living away from the hustle and bustle which is why we moved to a quiet area. For those who don't mind and like being in the middle of it all...Hoppers would be ideal. I will give it credit........Alot better than Point Cook.

arachnid.....your post is comical to say the least. Obviously, having had to move to three different places within Hoppers Crossing and all neighbours were horrible only adds up to the fact, maybe you were the horrible neighbours! If you dislike a suburb so much, why did you move three times within the same very suburb you despise. Somehow I do not think your post is honest at all and you maybe just have a personal gripe with someone in Hoppers so you are trying to rate the suburb badly. Seen and heard it all before. Hoppers Crossing is a great place and if it wasnt, why is there a huge waiting list for children to get into Cambridge Primary....yeah, a really bad place to live. Glad to hear you moved 'back out!"

lol woolpack right so even though our neighbours in william wright wynd were drug addicts and the 12 year old kid was allowed to run around in the nude out the front and SMOKE and DRINK we were the bad ones we are the kind that keep to ourselves and never bother anyone and dont have barking dogs and no loud music...like I said before obviously you can't read...Hoppers might seem like a good area for some especially the ones that like being close to all the shops etc...We just had a bad experience there I am sure that there are a large number of people that absolutely love Hoppers Crossing. Deal with it Woolpack

oh dear oh dear arachnid! William Wright wynd is not 'Woolpack' Street nor the be end all of Hoppers Crossing so how can you compare one street to the next. All streets in ALL suburbs have drug addicts and people with problems. I have worked with DOCTORS that are drug addicts. So you not only bag a suburb because of your personal experience, you put down a suburb because of very few people with problems. So what, there are problems in all suburbs, in all streets and its sad. Overall, Hoppers is a wonderful suburb and I agree with you whole-heartedly that a large number of people absolutely love Hoppers Crossing...I can deal with that!

Wyndham Vale

"Peaceful & The next big thing!!"

For the first 12 years of my life I grew up in the old Wyndham Vale area and we moved into Hoppers Crossing. My parents sold their home in Hoppers and built their home in Manor Lakes, Wyndham Vale. Having lived in Wyndham Vale for the majority of my life and experienced living in Hoppers Crossing I find Wyndham Vale to be a much better place to live. Hoppers Crossing wasn't the best living experience. I don't want to say much about Hoppers but I will never live there again. Wyndham Vale is about 8Kms away from all the busy in and out traffic and away from the major freeway. There are less hoons and idiots driving around. We have fantastic neighbours here in Manor Lakes and Recycled water which Hoppers, Tarneit and Point Cook won't have. There is going to be a train station in Manor Lakes Boulevard alongside a big future shopping centre. Overall I think Wyndham Vale is ideal for everyone and a great place to live.
