"Rough area"

New houses and developments does not validate an excuse for how rough this area is, sorry to say. Yes it's close to your local needs and yes there is cheap housing but I would rather feel safe in my area than constantly on edge in fear of being stabbed, bashed or worse. Same goes for its surrounding areas. Would recommend you check out Walkley Heights if you want a much safer and cheap option in the northern suburbs.

"Bronx of Adelaide"

Nothing really good about this suburb except cheap housing and shops... unless you want to get stabbed there be my guest. Just your typical northern suburb. Just because certain parts have been done up doesn't negate some sort of immunity from any criticism. Just like how the residents around here criticise inner city suburbs for the exact same thing. Move along

"Completely avoid at all costs"

Salisbury North, whilst has a lot of local needs close by, has one of the highest serious assault rates in South Australia, according to SA Police statistics. I've driven past this area a few times and noticed that a lot of things close up and pack up early, probably due to having to get home on time to avoid the rampant crime that goes on at night. There are shops and amenities nearby but I don't think that would be a pleasant experience either. Housing is cheap though.

"Decent area with amenities close by, sometimes can be rough"

Enfield, like most older areas, has been undergoing a major revamp with many new homes replacing run down older properties, sprucing the area up a bit. Enfield really is in a prime position with only a 10 minute drive to the city, close to local shops and amenities such as Coles and Woolworths at Northpark Shopping
Centre and Northgate, Foodland at Sefton Plaza, Tea Tree Plaza Churchill Centre with Kmart, etc etc. The area is mostly peaceful but it can be a little rough at times.

Seaford Rise

"Lovely coastal suburb"

Seaford Rise is situated nicely amongst the outer southern suburbs, and grabs some very nice views of the coast. A mixture of fairly large land blocks here if you are wanting to raise a family or smaller blocks for singles or smaller families. Median house price is 480k to buy and $400 per week for rent, so considering today's standards, is average. Close to amenities such as Seaford Central, Colonnades and Westfield Marion, schools, etc. Low crime rate according to SA Police crime statistics.

"Very dangerous area - do not live here"

Serious assault seems to be very commonplace here according to the SA Police crime statistics. Troubled people causing all sorts of problems, have heard from people living in the area constantly being threatened with weapons and bashed. Hooning is bad here as well. Area is constantly visited by police. Close to shops and other amenities tho so I'll give it that. Otherwise do not live here.
