Doreen

"Doreen is a very nice place to live- highly recommend"

I have recently moved my family to Doreen into a very nice family home. I got plenty of space for the kids now and multiple living areas which is great! Homes in Doreen are on a reasonable size block generally with a low maintenance backyard which means less time required gardening or doing house work and more time I can spend with my family. It is really worth your money. Doreen is a very nice place to live. There are also a good choice of schools (Hazel Glen College, Ivanhoe Grammar, St Pauls Catholic) and shops (Lauimar area and at corner of Bridge Inn Rd / Yan Yean Rd) and petrol station/ car wash facility in Doreen. I am waiting for the Mernda Town Centre / Mernda rail to come which will make the area more vibrant than it is. I am very excited, the South Morang - Mernda Rail extension is due to commence in the coming months and completed by 2019.

Great for

  • Mernda Rail is coming!
  • Great mix of young and old that are community spirited
  • The existing and planned infrastructure is terrific and eliminates the need to go too far
  • Urban development with a distinct country feel
  • Lovely recreation areas
  • Good access to parks

Who lives here?

  • Singles
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
