Vida Street
9th May 2024

"Quiet, public transport, cafe, river."

This cute little street is the main thoroughfare to Poynton’s Nursery and the river. It has a bus, so public transport is a bonus. Double Glazing is recommended if you are sensitive to noise, but it’s not even that bad. It’s just the bus that passes through, imagine a very quiet street where the only thing that can be commented on as noisy is the bus. Cute, hilly, leafy street.

"Beautiful Leafy Suburb with Heritage"

Quiet affluent suburb, with beautiful houses and leafy well maintained streets. Heritage listed homes as well as modern designs. Close to the Maribyrnong River and a fantastic plant nursery that I spend so much time in. Fancy schools for the kids, not that I have any, but it’s great for the value of the area. Train stations, a 20 min walk to either Moonee Ponds or Essendon Stations, or a 5 min bus ride, depending where you are in Aberfeldie. My forever suburb, will never leave.

The Gap

"Nature but with Bogans"

The Gap was on my list to research for a potential move. The Bus from the CBD was a long ride on little windy roads, quite uncomfortable. The suburb is nestled among green hills with plenty of birdlife, but the town centre is run down and outdated. The locals appeared quite Bogan. I ended up in Bulimba, The Gap was just too trashy.
