This is probably the best suburb around MELBOURNE specially if both you and your partner / wife work In CBD. I live near the station and walk to the station every morning (no need to find a car park in the morning). Train station, freeway entrance, Woolworth , cafes, Indian/Asian Supermarket , seven eleven, coles express all are about 2 mins drive from my house.
I hardly see any traffic. It takes only 25 minutes to reach to southern cross.
I find the suburb very safe and friendly.
Anywhere else You can’t have a brand new 4-5 bedroom house with all this being only 16 kms from CBD. I am very happy being in this part of the Melbourne. Leafy eastern suburbs are nice but I never wanted to downsize living in an old house and didn’t want to travel to 30-40 kms every day to work.
Schools are coming and getting better but area has some really great private schools including Westbourne Grammer School. I highly recommend this suburb.
