Killarney

We have just moved to KH and are absolutely loving it. It feels like you’re living in a small town, but with the benefits of being close to the city. I work in Rosebery and my commute is 30 to 40 mins each way. Chatswood is just down the road, as well as some of the city's finest beaches like Freshwater, Dee Why etc. KH is on a peninsula so you don’t have any through-traffic. It’s quiet, peaceful, safe and very family oriented. People seem to behave differently in this suburb, for example they stop to let you cross the road. There is no road rage, and good old fashion values like courtesy, community spirit and friendliness prevail. Kids can still run around, and ride their bikes. Killarney Heights shops are good with a bakery, cafe, fruit shop and hairdressers. One of our favourite things is to meet friends at Killarney Heights Pizza every Friday night. It’s a social hub where you get to catch up with everyone, almost like the village square. Schools are excellent too. Wish we’d moved here earlier but glad we have done it now as we’re here for life!
