Truganina

"A suburb that is booming with Infrastructure upgrades (19-24km away from CBD depending on where you live)"

The biggest benefit of living here is that you are ahead of majority of the traffic (From Tarneit and Hoppers crossing ) in peak hour especially if you are located near Palmers road. It saves 20-25min each way in peak hour traffic compared to living in other Wyndham Suburbs. New houses coming up are very beautiful and loads of double stories are being built. This suburb has a few decent primary/secondary schools (Westbourne Grammer etc.) and more to come. Proximity to a train station i.e. Williams Landing if you are the start of the suburb or Tarneit station if you are towards the end of the suburb. Both Point cook shopping and Werribee plaza are not far away. Williams landing shopping centre is somewhere you can go to as well.
Forsyth Road extension to Dohertys road from Sayers road is underway, Palmers Road duplication is almost done, Leakes road duplication is underway and 2-3 small shopping centres with a Supermarket are coming up (Woolworths at Allura estate, 2 retail centres on opposite sides of Plamers and Leakes (construction underway)), 2-3 petrol station with fast food joints on Leakes road etc.

Seriously..may be Its the best place to live. But if you want to commute work heavy traffic everywhere.. Every saturday you cannot travel through leaks rd due to that rubbish laverton market..

I have lived in Footscray prior to moving to Truganina, and can say that during work peak hour traffic, most of the suburbs also suffer the same fate when heading into the city. I prefer PT; door to door to the office in the city it takes less than an hour - quicker than it is to drive into the city during peak hour.

But I must agree that Laverton market does generate a bit of traffic during the Saturdays but it is still bearable.

Sebastian, mate that Laverton Market is simply awesome. Not for their prices but to spend the weekend with kinds in there. It's one of the greatest features of that neighborhood.
