Berwick

"Okay if you like to be distant from the city."

High reliance on the motor vehicle would put some people off. At around the start and end of the school day it is a nightmare.

What part of Berwick do you live in? You dont sound happy where you are, maybe to need to move to a more friendly part of Berwick.

Hi Mark, all three of your reviews (so far) say pretty much the same thing: you need to drive to get anywhere. Does that mean you work in the city or something? What if you worked in Berwick then living there would be quite convenient. If you truly know about the area write more about it, not very helpful to say it's got traffic and nothing else.

I disagree with Mark's view as well. Public transport is not bad, with stations at Berwick and Narre Warren, and a reasonably good bus network.

Being outer suburbs, there are some associated issues (as you would expect). It is however, a great mix of old world charm and modern practicalities that exist through the meeting of a lovely established country township and all the advantages of modern amenities, implemented services and infrastructure, as well as easy access to the city via a tolerable 41 klm Freeway journey. It has a railway station and multiple highly regarded schools. Not bad for an outer suburban development (for mine).

"High reliance on cars"

Sprawl suburb with a huge reliance on the freeway to access the city. Not a great deal of local activity.

I'm not sure how you say there is a high reliance on cars? There is a direct train line to the city in GW. Its a 40 min trip. Whether or not you choose to use it is one thing, but one can't say we rely on cars in GW. Busses abound also. PT is plentiful in GW.

"Very car centric area."

A long way from any kind of vibrant street life. High reliance on motor vehicles to get to work
