The laneway drug problem is not as bad as some people say. Good selection available and at reasonable cost.
Foxes can be seen running across the neighbourhood to the cemetery. But mostly you will only see them at night. They run away if you exhale on your vape.
Princes Park is really good. Except it is overrun with boot camps. They are usually not aggressive, even though it appears they want to fight everyone.

Rivervale is supremely located with access to the CBD, airport and major arterial routes very accessble. There are nice pockets of housing where social housing presence is low. But there are also significant problem hotspots that should be avoided such as, for example, upper Gladstone Road and lower Knutsford Avenue. Typcially these are where there are Homeswest properties and dysfunctional family units prowling the streets. Rivervale has a very high presence of social housing, even rivaling the northern suburb of Balga. Were it not for this, Rivervale would be far more sought after.
