I was brought up in Corinda and have lived in and around Corinda most of my life. Many things have changed since I was a kid.
My state school has moved down the hill; Hopetoun aged care was built and is now demolished!! (I remember a big old Queenslander on the site that was home for about a dozen older men) - a new aged care facility is now being built on the same site; the maternity hospital in Collins Street where 3 of my children were born is now gone; the Corinda fire station is no longer; and the Dunlop Park Pool was built - yes, I am that old!!
Lots has changed but in many ways nothing has changed. Corinda still has the wonderful family community attitude. A fantastic place for children to grow up, with great rail and bus services and great schools.
