Sydney (CBD)

"It's got the lot- and it's world class"

Ok, the public transport can be a drag, but in the right place like where I live in Newtown it's not so bad. So much to see and do, and the weather allows activity right around the calendar- there's always something happening in Sydney.

"Quiet sleepy town, not much to do"

This is a good place to stop in the park on a drive through. Living here is very rural, not much choice of anything, but it is quite central to visit Young, Yass, Cowra, with some cool little villages within an hour, eg Koorawatha and Binalong.

Evans Street

"Quiet street just off the main drag"

This is a good location to have easy access to the city, while being able to walk to Darling St Balmain and Balmain Rd Rozelle for shopping. Nice houses and a great pub (3 weeds) as well.

"nice place to grow up"

I grew up here in the 70s and 80s- was very friendly, green quiet and safe. Train to the city is good but always very crowded at peak times coming from Hornsby to city. I think the demographic has changed from all young families now.

Agar Street

"Good for access to cheap food and transport to city"

This has great cheap Vietnamese food and other types, but the street is a bit grotty at times. Not too far to all the shopping services, but Marrickville Metro is a better bet than Marrickville Rd to cover all your needs. Feels like it will take off int he future, but we moved to a cooler place instead of waiting for gentrification.

Macauley Street

"Just off the busy street, but so much quieter"

Great street as no right tun from Norton onto it. Easy walk to lots of cafes and parks. Bus is ok, driving not so good. Parking can be a hassle, but down the end away from Norton is the way to go.

"close to all, but suburban feel"

This is the best street- just off Enmore Rd, 5 min to King St, but quiet and friendly people.Nice houses and not too much traffic- no right turn in or out at Enmore Rd helps!

Enmore

"Coolest secret place to live in Sydney"

Having travelled to most world class cities, coming home to Enmore is fantastic. You can walk to just about everything- King St is just minutes away, but lesser known Enmore Rd has such great places to eat and even cheaper. Transport is unmatched, and people in our street are very friendly. We see our neighbours socially, and the local shops know our orders when we walk in! There is always something new to look at nearby, and just taking a walk in our neighbourhood is relaxing and interesting. If we found a neighbourhood like this in another country we would think it was the best place ever, and we already live here!
