The house price boom has pushed regular income people into these horrible, characterless, deserted suburbs. I could not think of a worse place to live. Every house looks exactly the same, there is no tree coverage due to it being a former farming area, and the only source of food I saw was a McDonald's. Even though the area is full of new families, there isn't even a decent school around. It also doesn't help that it is the most burgled area in Melbourne (along with Cardinia). Public transport options are few and far between with only a bus service to Cranbourne station in the northern part of town. Try to rent in a much more established suburb, even if it means compromising on size.
