Hoppers Crossing

"Scum"

Felt uneasy and unsafe in this suburb - this mainly being due to the poor behaviour of the locals and the unappealing surroundings of the suburb itself. There aren't any high quality schooling options and the suburb is not close to the CBD or surrounding suburbs where there are good schools. Despite this, the housing is very affordable. The locals are generally from a lower socioeconomic status, thus, for those who do not earn a high income, Hoppers Crossing may be a good option.

Your post is elitist, offensive and ridiculous, at best. Are you saying that Suzanne Cory, Heathdale, Werribee Secondary, and Westbourne Grammar are poor quality Schools? You might want to look these Schools up sometime, before you let your words hang you! What were you even doing out here, if you are too high quality for our suburb? Perhaps you should stay in Toorak or wherever you come from, and stop visiting our lovely neighbourhood.

People who suffer from poor self-esteem and inferiority complex often find themselves resorting to a pseudo superiority behaviour to cope and find acceptance by perpetuating stereotypes. It's rather transparent. This person is certainly not well educated, doesn't earn a good living nor has a professional job. Hence the reference to the "Lower Socioeconomic status". His/Her comments are a way to feel better about oneself. Useless self-serving piece of trash of a comment masquerading as a genuine suburb review.

I've lived in the central (poorest) part of Hoppers for 10 years now and agree with this review to some extent. Although I have rarely felt unsafe hoons are an ongoing problem and I have experienced rude/threatening behaviour. However most of the time the area is quiet and neighbours often look out for each other. ABS statistics rank Woodville/Mossfiel part of Hoppers 2 out of 10 for income inequality across Melbourne which is 1 point ahead of Dandenong. People don't spend much money on improving their houses in this area. Any new construction is usually a townhouse. I bought because it was affordable however the maintenance standards are also lower, so you need to be careful what you buy.

This is false statement. Suzane Cory rank No. 1 high school in 2021 (there are 5 of them were rank the same No. 1)

Not to mention, my home is less than 5 mins away from freeway, train station, st Vincent and Weribee hospital and 5 mins away from all shopping center. Oh not to mention No. 1 school in Melbourne Suzann Cory.
They are just upgrade the train track so it will be less traffic in nearly future. Lots of park, I used to ride the bycicle

Its a hidden gem indeed. My neighbor were very lovely, most of them are Australian, and their son have move out of their home, so they often come to our house and look after my baby (1 years old).
The only down side is the house is really old. So you have to be prepare to do some renovation. If you buy in Hoppers that a bit further out, you will get a newer house. When we bought this house, we are more like choose the steet that kewp clean, so ww know there are all

owner occupied, so they will keep their house clean.
