Keilor

"The understated North Western suburb"

There are some older but grand homes in Keilor North. Keilor has been well known for many years and is very popular. Keilor North is a little bit further out but still very close to all facilities. It's a leafy and hilly area and still very close and easy access to the freeway leading to the airport and the city. It's a great family area with everything in close proximity.

"Heaven for the passionate Surfer"

As a former surfer bells beach offers one of the greatest surf beaches in Victoria and is well known World wide. The contrast of bushland and wild surf is nature at it's best. The area is fantastic for people that love surfing and also good for families that love beaches.

"The hidden little gem"

A great place for a holiday house and to get away from the rat race and unwind in this great little seaside suburb. This is one for the families getaway for a little bit of fishing or just relax on the beach during summer.

Werribee South

"Area of great potential"

There is a lot of farm land along the bay that could have great potential and south werribee in one.
If the land becomes available it would offer a great bay lifestyle. If the area was to be developed like Paterson lakes and the easy access to the city the area would become very attractive. The area at current has a nice country / water feal to it. The area still needs a big development.

St Albans

"The forgotten Suburb with a great name"

Kings park is an older suburb with many rundown houses.
If only the area was a Kings Park, that would be great, the area is more like the stable yards.
The area has had a bad reputation for illegal dealings and an area you would'nt want to
be walking at night. There is realy not much of anything there apart from the usual local shop and school. I guess the streets are designed in the old style of being wider and creating the impression of space which is just about the only good thing for the area. The houses are of a more affordable areas with a big muticultral mix of people. Unfortunatelly for me it's always been seen as a rough and dark area.

Government should builds a police station in this suburb!

rosien1

There used to be a Police Station in St Albans and had fewer problems in St Albans and Kings Park as a result. Unfortunately Kings Park is a no mans land between suburbs with very few amenities, public facilities for the residents.

Caroline Springs

"Caroline Springs - a great place to live"

From our experience and our friends' experiences, we believe that Caroline Springs is a great suburb to live in. There are homes suited to all tastes and are in all shapes and sizes on land to suit all purposes. It has been great to live here as it is not far from the city. We have great access to freeways connecting us quickly to the city, the Eastern and Northern Suburbs, or over to Geelong and Great Ocean Road or the beautiful bush towards Daylesford etc. It is a great place for families and couples, with pretty lakes, walking tracks, parks, playgrounds, restaurants and great shopping areas close by. Good schools too!! Great facilities such as a library, recreation centre, gym, learn-to-swim centre, hotel for guests, with more facilities being built. Safe place, great place, we love it, our kids love it and we have loved it since we bought our home here over 2 years ago. Give Caroline Springs a go, you won't be disappointed. We're not.

Melton

"Fast Growing Small Country Town"

Melton is an older suburb that has never really bloomed. Melton at recent times has become more popular with the first home buyers and for the entry level buyers. Land is cheaper and land sizes are a bit more generous. Melton has all the required facilities however quite a distance from the city for the city worker and has no electrified train system. There is a very nice wave’s swimming pool and plenty of park lands. Shopping is average however new shops are always going up. Area has quite a bit of government housing and some very unwelcoming pockets indeed. Overall you cannot expect too much out of a small town.

Sunshine

"Might appeal to some"

Sunshine being an older more established suburb has some nice clean areas however the dirty rundown pockets overshadow sunshine. There is a lot of crime and tension with the large numbers of government housing and different opinions on lifestyle requirements. Sunshine is in closer proximity to the city and therefore contains more traffic. Shopping is average as harvester shopping complex is the main area for retail therapy. The pool facility is great and the schools are of high standards. Walk the streets at night at your own risk; perhaps walk with your large dog. Area probably would not suit families with young children.

I totally agree with your comment, Yogi.

I was driving home on the Ballarat Road (Sunshine) at 2 am few days ago after picking up my partner from city. It was so dark out there and I did not turn on my high beam. I did not see a shopping trolley in the middle of the road until I was a metre way. Fortunately, I could avoid it. I cannot believe who threw the trolley on the main road. It taught me a lesson to use a high beam when I drive in the dark (as I have never used high beam when I drive).
