Reviews of Werribee South, VIC

"a place almost forgotten and yet a wonderful oasis for the times ahead"

discovered Werribee South during Covid era , 2020/2021. Amazing place to live while the rest are scrambling for space to breathe. Just a 30 mins drive to the office in CBD which will shorten in time when all the infrastructure works are in place, quiet yes but that what you want after a day in the office, people are nice and not rushed. It reminds one of a New Zealand South Island but with better freeway access, shops if your after food plenty to get without being squeezed in traffic and hardly any traffic lights just mere 15 minutes to all the food you want from various shopping centres around... what a gem to find so close to CBD at a fraction of the cost you'd pay for in Sydney without a boat harbour. Marina and public boat areas, great way to spend your days with so much less stress. PS. was a chef in my past life what better way to salivate than with own cooking in summer outdoors without the neighbours complaining and if you don't have a bistro style coffee machine than a skip to marina cafes would fix that.

"great place"

Werribee South is very peaceful. Not alot of people live here, it's away from the traffic and chaos of the world. You can't beat this place for peace and quiet. It is so close to the city and should have a different name as it is so different to Werribee, its not funny. The only thing missing is shops which the marina will bring. The marina will also bring more people to this great place which is not a good thing but the marina won't be that big as to spoil the "serenity" as one great man once said.

What is O'Connors Road like for hoon noise and the proximity to the two caravan parks? You've mentioned W-South being very peaceful, but I'd be concerned the isolation would be too great an invitation for hoons, while also worrying that the caravan park may have its share of undesirables? Am I wrong? Would love to know as I am considering renting in the area.

I have been a Werribee South resident for many years and have noticed that the hoon problem is not like many areas in the west. I think it is due to the lack of knowledge of the location of Werribee South. Regarding the caravan park, it is mainly tourists and retired couples, and have not noticed any "undesirables",

Rentals in Werribee South

"Area of great potential"

There is a lot of farm land along the bay that could have great potential and south werribee in one.
If the land becomes available it would offer a great bay lifestyle. If the area was to be developed like Paterson lakes and the easy access to the city the area would become very attractive. The area at current has a nice country / water feal to it. The area still needs a big development.
