"Winston Hills"

Winston Hills is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Winston Hills is located 28 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the City of Parramatta and the Greater Western Sydney region. Winston Hills was named after Britain's Prime Minister Winston Churchill (18741965) during World War II. "Peaceful"

Most have said it all.

With two retirement villages here ''The Willows'' and ''Woodberry'' Winston Hills is a very protected area by its residents and by local real estate agents. Most are long term residents who have been in this area for at least ten years plus with real estate agents being very selective with lease agreements, and all credit to them.

Every month the residents have a community meeting to stay ahead of any crime or suspicious activity to keep people on alert and aware if a need arises...and every now and then it does. Winston Hills is not one of the more modern suburbs but most definitely one of the most characterised, land scaped suburbs due to high nos. of elderly taking perfect pride in outdoor areas of their homes.

The high quality of education at very reputable schools are all within a 1km radius if that. With Baulkham Hills high selective school, within a 3km radius. Before and after school care at both primary public schools.

Winston Hills shopping mall has everything a shopping mall has with much larger malls such as Westfields only a 10min. drive away.

This is the suburb to purchase in if safety is your first priority.

"Good for shops"

Winston Hills shopping village has Coles, Woolworths, Big W, Costi's seafood and Leonards chicken. There is even a bakery that sells bread that opens till 6 pm at night. There are two travel agents, a bag shop, a children's wear shop, chemist, banks, video store and Real Estate agent. It is all there.

Parking is easy at the shopping centre. Also I go shopping at Baulkham Hills (Harris Farm)
Castle Hill, Parramatta Westfields and Northmead ( for the butchers and fruit and Sara Lee store).

Winston Hills is close to the M2 and you can get back to Winston Hills several ways- Victoria Road, Parramatta Road, Epping Road. This is great when there are traffic jams on the roads and you listen to the radio in your car and can travel via a different route.

I like how it is quiet here too. You can hear Kookaburras in the morning laugh and can see Sulpur crested cockatoos, pink galahs in the afternoons and early mornings.

My mum who has lived here for 25 years has never been robbed and it is a very safe area.

When I go overseas, I catch the train to Parramatta then the private bus back to my place. It is convenient and the private bus only costs $3.40. There are lots of buses that run all week along Windsor Road. I live off Windsor Road and it is hilly where I live but very quiet and convenient. Lots of trees and people take pride in their gardens.

I've lived all my life in winston hills, now I live here with my family. Great neighbours, safe schools, shops and park. Close to everything, but far away enough to not feel the hussle and bussle of busy Sydney life.

Well serviced by an excellent shopping centre with major retailers such as BIG W, Coles, Woolies, Dick Smith and many, many more specialist shops Winston Hills also has popular schools, churches and fitness centres. Live here and enjoy the convenience of being just minutes from Parramatta CBD, have easy access to Sydney via the M2 and you'll most likely have wonderful neighbours. "One stop convenience .. with tranquility and safety!"

Winston Hills is perfectly located between Parramatta and Baulkham Hills. A quiet, leafy and well established area, Winston Hills is renowned for being safe and secure - ideal for young families and older couples alike. Predominantly a mix of 60s and 70s style renovated housing with a growing number of new larger 2 storey homes, Winston Hills is free from high density living, giving space and room to breathe.
With a great local shopping centre including 2 supermarkets and a Big W, an award winning hotel with excellent dining, numerous schools and sports fields, several smaller sets of shops and takeaways, local gyms and great access to public transport (including the T-Way), Winston Hills is truly a suburb of convenience!
Only 10 minutes from Parramatta and 5 minutes from the business hub of Norwest, Winston Hills is a perfect residential oasis

"Winston Hills - a nice family suburb"

Winston Hills is a suburb of Sydney 28 kilometres west of the CBD in the local government area of the City of Parramatta but still considered to be in the Hills District of Sydney. It has a population of just under 9,000 people of whom 24% are under 18 and 20% are over 60.

The suburb was named during World War II after Sir Winston Churchill and its development has mainly been since the 1960’s. There is not very much natural bushland left – it has all been built on. You would not get much change out of $500,000 for a three bedroom house in this area.

There is a large shopping centre with over 70 shops, including Big W, Woolies and Coles. The Winston, a hotel in the suburb, was awarded “Hotel of the Year” and “Best Casual Dining Hotel of the Year” in 2008 by the AHA.

Winston Hills boasts one of the largest soccer/football clubs in Sydney. This is known as “The Bears”. There are three primary schools in the suburb – two government and one Catholic.

Winston Hills is a nice middle class suburb with all the facilities needed or very close by in neighbouring suburbs.

"Winston Hill - Great Family Area with loads of sports."

Winston Hills is west of Parramatta and is a residential area close to Baulkham Hills and Castle Hill. The area is a great place for families with a great shopping center with over 70 shops and a huge car park. There is a great hotel with an award winning restaurant. The area boasts some great sporting fields catering for many sports including football, soccer, netball and little athletics to name a few. There are excellent schools both State and Catholic. Home prices are creeping up and finding a three bedroom house under $500k would be a task. Still a nice place to live close to Parramatta and the Hills District.
