Reviews of Arthur Street, Fairfield

8th May 2024

"The centre of the universe."

Fairfield born and bred, schooling at Fairfield Primary and the St Anthony's. Great local schools. Close to everything that matters yet not cluttered, crowded or crushed. You can comfortably walk, ride or park in the area. The Paris end between Heidelberg Rd and railway is a secluded tree-lined haven. The neighbours are friendly and visitors to the local cafe Arthur st deli or Hoppas bring colour and life to the area. A short stroll to Yarra Bend the fabulous boathouses. That river princint remains unchanged in my 50 plus years memories. Get lost in the tranquillity only 6 km from the city centre.

"A little too close to the action"

One street back from Station Street, it is a little too close to the action. However, the stretch between Heidelberg Road and the railway line is a great spot. Tree-lined, period homes with pretty gardens and still within a short stroll from the shopping strip.
