Rates for ebenezer area?

Hi all,

My partner and I are in the cooling off period of buying a house in Ebenezer. We have enquired about the rates and were shocked to find they the current owners are paying $919 a quarter! Is this correct? I understand it septic that needs to be pumped, but this seems excessive? Is there anything we can do to reduce this cost? we are only on just a little less then a 700sqm block.
