Thinking of moving into the area.

Are there any areas in Goolwa/Middleton area best avoided in terms of crime or rougher neighbourhoods? Any opinions of good or not so good areas would be much appreciated.

There are a few 'areas' to Goolwa.
1) The Goolwa North area is experiencing a lot of growth and is perfect if you enjoy living near the river. There's a great walking track along the river and the river is enjoyed by a lot of rowers and boaters. Goolwa North will give you easy access to the new High School due to open in 2022, and is close to the Primary School. The homes are predominately newer builds.
2) Goolwa is the area around the main shopping precinct & sporting facilities. There are a combination of old heritage properties and newer homes. Obviously the convenience of central town living and being close to the river precinct makes this a popular location.
3) Goolwa South means you would be living close to the river (south of the Hindmarsh Island bridge). It is the spot if you would like to live within walking distance to the golf course & sailing club, river and surf beach. It's close to the newly developed Jet Ski Park and the popular Bombora cafe. Goolwa North is the perfect spot to both enjoy the river and surf beach.
4) Goolwa Beach is located behind the sand dunes along Goolwa Beach. This area is a popular holiday home location. If you would like to live close to the surf, surf lifesaving club and the popular Kuti Shack cafe then Goolwa Beach is a great spot for you.
