Council wont let you build any living space in flood zone affected areas. Either put house on posts like everyone else who has needed to or raise the block with soil.

We signed a contract for a block which we were told needed to go up 1.7m
If price is no option, then it’s just a matter of finding a builder who can do it. Only specific builders will and it adds a lot of money to your build.
