2022 Suitability for young family?

Wanting honest reviews from those currently with young families. What are the schools like? Is it safe for kids to roam about? Any lower demographic/drug issues? Etc. What are the doctors like?
Excited to move from Victoria but picky/anxious with a budget that we are pushing. Open to other similar town suggestions from Mackay to Ballina!

Long waits to get into Doctors in Maleny, many travel down to Buderim/Caloundra etc. Its a very hippy type town so yes you will see several interesting types frequent the area and local pharmacies unfortunately. Nice place but personally would rather visit for the weekend than stay

Thank you! Are there any other towns you would recommend? We've also thought Buderim, Mooloolah Valley, Beerwah?
