I've lived and worked in Mount Gravatt East and can honestly say it is a brilliant suburb to buy and live in. You have great accessibility to shopping at Westfield Carindale and Garden City, as well as smaller centres like Mount Gravatt Plaza, Brisbane CBD is only 9km away and the great network of public transport in the area ensures it's easily accessible. You're spoilt for choice of top ranking private and public schools and there are plenty of greenspaces, parks and bikeways for the family to enjoy. In terms of buying, it is far more affordable than the surrounding areas such as Holland Park and Carindale but still enjoys excellent growth. The best part about MGE though is the people that live there. It's still a suburb where the neighbours look after each other. Highly recommend buying and living here.

Mount Gravatt East is very popular for first home owners and investors alike. A great family oriented suburb with mainly affordable Post War houses and easy access F3 and Gateway Arterial. Mount Gravatt Plaza is the shopping centre of choice for groceries and Target. But only 10 minutes to Garden City or Carindale Shopping Centres. Plenty of good schools to choose from like the sought after Cavendish Road High, Mansfield High and Mount Gravatt High Schools, all of these schools have catchment areas, so you need to check the websites.
