Southport/Gold Coast

Hi we are a family of 4 and hoping to move to australia next year when I qualify as an accountant. Could you please advise if it's easy to find work in Southport? What is the area like for schools and kids entertainment? Evening family entertainment? We have two boys aged 5 and 7. My partner is a painter and decorator. Is there much work for painters?

Are there any other areas which would be better suited for our situation on the Gold Coast?
