"I enjoyed my time here."
i live here for a bit more than a year. stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. in general, wembley is a nice area, close to subiaca, leederville, and innaloo. you've got the herdsman lake on one side and lake monger on the other side. one thing i don't like about wembley is the public transport, only one bus going through the suburb. however if you have a car, you can probably drive to the gelndalough train station.
wembley is pretty much divided into those affordable units and not so affordable houses. the property prices around wembley is either very expensive or somewhat affordable.
to me, i did enjoy my time in wembley.

- Possibilities of noisy neighbours

"A nice place to live"
I lived in Box hill for more than 10 years. Never had any problems with it. for me, the best thing is the transportation, and dinning options. for transport, you've got bus, tram (109) and train. Dinning options are good too, you've got a number of affordable and delicious restaurants in the heart of box hill (Station street) and also on whitehorse road. probably one of the things i don't like about Box Hill is that the house/unit/realestate is not that affordable at all. oh well, this is melbourne...
in summary, a nice place to live. recommended.

- Although cheaper than Surrey Hills, houses aren't too affordable
- Developers pulling down old houses with character and replacing them with ugly units and apartments

Very same for kids very family orientated where ever you go there will be trouble but growing up as a kid in box hill was a great memory and lots of fun. Surrey park box hill gardens Wattle Park Doncaster the head of the dragon for property and cant go wrong good investment.
