Grange Street

"Close to Grand Central and Laurel Bank Park"

Grange Street is one of the closest residential streets to the Grand Central shopping center. It is also just a short walk away from the restaurants and cafes on Margaret Street, as well as the city Library.

St Mary's College high school is also extremely close for kids of years 5-12. The Laurel Bank Park is located at the end of the street and is a beautiful place with an amazing rose garden.

If you work in the city, or love shopping, then Grange Street is the perfect place for you.

Fairway Crescent

"Toowoomba's Prime Golfing Location"

The Middle Ridge Golf Course is the premier golf course in Toowoomba, and Fairway Cresent is the closest street for a golfing enthusiast. If you own your own golf buggy, and play at least once a week, then Fairway Cresent is the place to be.

It is very close to Gabbinbar School, as well as a few smaller shopping centres. It takes a bit longer to get into the CBD, but Fairway Cresent is perfect for any golfing retirees.

Bowtell Street

"Peaceful Street Bordering Park and School"

Bowtell Street has a very kid friendly feel. It borders Rangeville State Primary School, and a large park. There is a kindergarten along it as well, which is perfect for any family with kids.

The traffic can get a bit extreme during the start and end of school as parents drop off their kids, but throughout the rest of the day, Bowtell is very quiet and peaceful.

It ends on South Street which leads through town, so you can get anywhere pretty quickly. A nice family friendly street.

Finney Road

"Great spot near Indooroopilly Shopping Centre"

Finney Rd is close enough to the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre to imagine it would be inundated with traffic. This isn't the case however.

The end of Finney, which is literally across the street from the Shopping Centre gets to noise of any major intercection, however, the rest of the street is as quiet as you can imagine from such a great location.

The nearby shopping centre provides shops, cafes, fast food and cinema as well as buses. A bit further down the road the smaller Indooroopilly CBD has a train station, hotel, and more shops, cafes and restaurants.

A great spot.

Woodstock Road

"Central Toowong location, off major roads"

Woodstock Rd, while a large street itself, is quiet in comparison to the larger Sherwood St and Miskin Sts. It has some traffic but hardly any considering its location.

Some areas of the street allow for on street parking, but others do not. So if you have more cars than you have garages bear this in mind.

Despite this the street remains a leafy, easy to find and suprisingly quiet location in the middle of Toowong

Croydon Street

"Major onroad for Milton Rd and the Western Freeway."

Croydon St is a small street between Jephson St and Milton Rd, however, this position mean that it gets a lot of peak traffic along it.

If you can deal with the traffic, and lack of on street parking, then Croydon is an easily accessable street close to both major shopping centres and local stores, with easy access to the city and the Western Suburbs.

Chiniquay Street

"Quiet Dead End Street between two schools"

Dead end strret with only six 1960's style houses. St Anthony's Catholic School lies at the end and Harristown Stat High School at the entrace to the street.

Because of the small nature of the street, the traffic levels are minimal, and the noise is very low. There can be a problem due to the students throughout the day, but at night the street is very peaceful.

Bennett Street

"Close to shops.....but also the rail line"

Bennett St in Toowong connects straight to the Toowong Village Shopping Centre. However, the river side of the street has no houses, only a train line.

This means every 15 minutes or so you'll have to deal with a train arriving and leaving from the Toowong station, until after midnight.

On the upside getting around on public transport isn't a worry

Musgrave Road

"Indooroopilly Shopping Centre's Closest Street"

For anyone working at the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, or someone who really loves to shop, then Musgrave Road is as close as you can get. Although because it is one of the main entrances to the parking lot, then there are a lot of cars travelling past. This can be a big noise issue, especially on late night shopping days.

Musgrave Road is off Mogill Road, so you can get anywhere in Brisbane pretty quickly. The houses are quite nice as well.

High Street

"Busy Street Bordering Toowong Tower"

High Street joins Moggill Road and Coronation Drive, so it is very busy and has a lot of noise from drive through traffic.

There are a lot of great restaurants, and cafe's as well as the large shopping centre of Toowong Towers. It also has the Royal Exchange down one end, so there is no lack of entertainment.

Coronation Drive

"Extremely Busy Road to get into the City"

Coronation Drive is one of the main streets into the Brisbane city for people in Toowong, Indooroopilly, and other suburbs. It converts into the Riverside Expressway, and the Pacific Motorway.

There are some fantastic hotels along Coronation Drive, which are good for visiting The Wesley Hospital. The traffic levels are extreme but the traffic moves quickly, without many stopages.

The view of the river and the city is fantastic, and the buildings are huge. The city cat and buses give Coronation Drive quick public transport to both the city and the university, so you can get anywhere in a short amount of time.

Tolmie Street

"Quiet Street in a Prime Location"

There are a lot of quiet and peaceful streets throughout Toowoomba, but few are in such a good location as Tolmie. The community feeling is fantastic, with lots of children playing and friendly families.

The houses are nice, and the gardens give the street a great view.

Cenetenary Heights High School is just around the corners as well as a small shopping complex.

Aberdeen Street

"Bordering the Waterbird Habitat"

Aberdeen Street is a very quiet street, and is close to the Rangeville State Primary School and the Centenary Heights High School. There are also a few small shopping centres nearby.

But the main thing that stands out is the superb view of the Waterbird Habitat. Aberdeen is right on the habitat, which is great for weekend picnics or daily walks. There can be a lot of bird activity, which can be noisy, but for bird lovers it is a great place to be.

Warren Street

"Walk to Uni!"

Warren St is one of the closest streets to the University of Queensland, which is both a benefit and a burden.

Being so close is great for students, it's reletively quiet and walking to Uni saves transportation costs.

It's a bit of a distance from Toowong, so most shopping will be done at the smaller St Lucia Village. That said it's still very walkable to Toowong, and public transport is available in the many busses and the City Cat

The street is off Sir Fred Schonell Dr meaning that there is little drive through but a lot of nearby traffic. Due to it's proximity to Uni on street parking during the semester can be an issue with many students not willing to pay for parking on campus when they can park only a couple of hundred metres away for free.

"The Main Street of Tara"

The Surat Development Road is the main street of Tara, and is full of great shops including Tara Rural Supplies, the Bakery, Grocery stores, and other discount stores. This is where most of Tara does their daily shopping.

It is also the main street connecting Surat, Glenmorgan, The Gums, and Tara.

Wight Street

"Noisy Street on Milton Road"

Milton Street is a small street off Milton Road, so the noise can be a bit of an issue. Other than that, it is in a good location, as it is not far to the city as well as Toowong Tower shopping centre. There is also a shopping centre on Baroona Road, so it is not far to get grocerys.

The Milton Train Station is not far away, and the trains come fairly often, so you can get to where you need to go within half an hour.

Hawken Dr

"Perfect for University of Queensland Students"

Hawken Drive is the perfect location for any University of Queensland student. It is within walking distance of the uni, as well as contains the Hawken Village shopping centre for all your grocery needs. It is also very close to Toowong and has bus stops all along, so the public transport is very accessible.

It is a relatively major road, so the noise from traffic can be a problem.

The St Lucia Golf course is very close as well, so if you are a keen golfer and a student, Hawken Drive is for you!

Petunia Close

"Tiny, quiet and friendly"

Petunia Close is a really small and friendy street. With only 8 houses, there is a great community feel. The houses are quite large with big blocks of land and beautiful gardens.

It takes only about 20 minutes to get to the city, so schools and shops are close enough for everything you need. There is absolutely no traffic problems, and there is no noise. Fantastic for people seeking a peaceful life.

"Perfect for kids - borders primary school"

Weller Street borders the Rangeville State Primary School, so it is the perfect location for a family with young kids. It is also within walking distance to the High Street Shopping Centre as well as doctors, dentists, and other health care professionals.

The noise during the day can be a bit of an issue due to the proximity of the primary school, but there is no traffic problems, and at night is a very quiet street.

"Great Garden Street"

Pigott Drive is one of the best looking streets in Rangeville. It has a great community feel, and there are several houses which always participate in the Carnival of Flowers. This gives the street a really great look, and the view is always beautiful.

There are several close schools and shopping centres, so if you have kids, then it really is a great place to live.
